FAQ
Should I worry about data from before I installed MCMetrics?
Nope!
While it would be ideal to install MCMetrics at the beginning of a season, installing it mid-season is perfectly fine. The plugin will detect installation mid-season by checking for playerdata files. If it detects a legacy player (someone who joined before installation), that player will be excluded from the following metrics:
- Joins
- Retention
- Funnels
This way, MCMetrics data will never be inaccurate due to late installation.
That being said, it might take a few days to a few weeks for enough data to have been collected to generate meaningful metrics, such as long-term joins charts.
What data does MCMetrics store?
