By accessing or using MCMetrics.net (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
MCMetrics is operated by Waypoint Studios Ltd (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 12213821), with its registered office at Suites 48–49 Autumn Park Business Centre, Dysart Road, Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, NG31 7EU.
MCMetrics provides analytics, insights, and performance tracking tools for Minecraft-related products and services. The platform collects and processes metrics (“Data”) submitted by users.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
We store:
- Username
- Email address
- Password (securely hashed)
- Account creation date
- IP addresses used during login
- User agent data
4. Authentication & Security
After authentication, MCMetrics uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT) and related token-based mechanisms to authorize requests to the Service.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your authentication tokens secure
- Not sharing access credentials or tokens with third parties
We implement reasonable safeguards, but cannot guarantee complete security of transmitted data.
5. Data Collection & Usage
By using MCMetrics, you grant us the right to collect, process, and store Data submitted to the platform.
5.1 Metrics Data
- All metrics and analytics data sent to MCMetrics (“Data”) may be stored indefinitely
- Data may be aggregated and anonymized for internal use
5.2 Data Sources (Plugins & API)
Data is collected via API requests sent from:
- Your Minecraft server
- Official MCMetrics open source plugins
- Third-party plugins and integrations
You acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for any data sent to MCMetrics
- We do not control or audit third-party plugins
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, legality, or safety of data submitted via plugins
5.3 AI Training
We may use anonymized and aggregated Data to:
- Train machine learning models
- Improve recommendations, analytics, and product features
No personally identifiable information is used for AI training.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party providers:
- MaxMind for Geo-IP lookup and location estimation
- PostHog for performance monitoring and interaction tracking
- Stripe for billing and payment processing
These providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
7. Billing
All payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store or process:
- Credit card numbers
- Billing addresses
- Payment credentials
Stripe is solely responsible for payment processing and storage of billing information.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the platform
- Submit malicious or misleading data
- Abuse API endpoints or infrastructure
9. Data Ownership
- You retain ownership of your submitted Data
- You grant MCMetrics a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and process Data for operating and improving the Service
10. Third-Party Plugin Disclaimer
MCMetrics may be used in conjunction with official or third-party plugins.
We:
- Do not endorse or guarantee any third-party plugins
- Do not accept any liability for damages, data loss, or issues caused by plugins
- Are not responsible for how plugins collect, process, or transmit data
Use of any plugin is at your own risk.
11. Remote Support Access
To provide support and troubleshooting, MCMetrics may offer remote access to your account.
- Remote access is only performed with your explicit permission granted through the MCMetrics application
- Support staff can access account functionality without viewing passwords or sensitive authentication data
- We do not expose or access personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary to provide support
- All such access is limited, controlled, and used solely for customer support purposes
By granting permission, you consent to temporary access by authorized support personnel.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
13. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Accuracy of analytics
- Continuous availability
- Error-free operation
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MCMetrics shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data
- Loss of revenue or profits
- Indirect or consequential damages
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
